I’m Mira Reverente, also known as The Money Savvy Mommy.
I wasn’t always as money savvy, just stubborn and curious, growing up as the eldest of three and the only daughter.
Money always fascinated me – how people around me made money, how they saved it or how they spent it. Around the age of 11 or 12, I remember trying to get a “loan” from my dad for a neighborhood lemonade stand of sorts, but he turned me down. That was my first brush with rejection and when I learned about the big C word – collateral.
As an independent journalist and editor, I’m always on the look-out for uplifting and local stories to tell from personal finance to fitness to family events. I love feel-good and success stories, especially when it comes to money and business.
In 2015, I co-authored my first book, Suddenly Single Women’s Guide to Finances, inspired by my own post-divorce financial challenges. Wanting to expand my reach, continue this quest for money savviness and get the money dialogue going, I launched this blog. So talk to me here, leave me a comment on Facebook, follow me on Instagram and Twitter, or email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
I hope my journey continues to inspire many of you. Remember, you got this!
